Liang9g and My Passion for Building Gundam Models
Hello, I’m Liang9g, and one of my greatest passions is building Gundam models. For those unfamiliar, Gundam models, or Gunpla (short for Gundam Plastic Models), are intricate plastic kits based on the iconic Japanese anime and mecha franchise, Gundam. These models are not just toys but a creative outlet that combines patience, precision, and a love for craftsmanship.
My journey with Gunpla began a few years ago when I stumbled upon a model kit in a hobby shop. The detailed designs and the idea of creating something with my own hands instantly captivated me. Since then, building Gundam models has become more than just a hobby—it’s a way for me to unwind, focus, and express my creativity.
What I love most about building Gundam models is the process. Each kit, whether it’s a simple High Grade (HG) or a complex Perfect Grade (PG), requires careful attention to detail. From snapping pieces together to painting and adding custom decals, every step feels like bringing a piece of the Gundam universe to life. The satisfaction of seeing a completed model, with its sleek armor and dynamic poses, is incredibly rewarding.
Beyond the technical aspects, Gunpla allows me to connect with a global community of builders. I enjoy sharing tips, showcasing my builds, and learning new techniques from others online. It’s amazing to see how each builder adds their unique touch, whether through custom color schemes or intricate modifications.
Building Gundam models has taught me patience, problem-solving, and the value of dedication. It’s a hobby that constantly challenges me to improve while offering endless possibilities for creativity. Whether I’m assembling a classic Zaku or a modern Gundam Wing, every project is a new adventure. For me, Liang9g, Gunpla is more than a pastime—it’s a passion that fuels my imagination and brings me joy
